Frequently Asked Questions

How do I crop an image online?

Choose an image, pick an aspect ratio (or keep Free), use the sliders to set the crop area, and download the result. Everything runs in your browser.

Can I crop to a circle?

Not yet. This cropper supports square and rectangular aspect ratios. Circle masks require image editing with transparency compositing, which isn't implemented.

What aspect ratios are available?

Free crop, 1:1 square, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, and 9:16 for stories and vertical formats.

Can I crop multiple images at once?

Not currently. The tool crops one image at a time in the browser.

Will cropping reduce quality?

Cropping only removes pixels; it doesn't scale the image. PNG and WebP output stay lossless at their chosen quality; JPG output uses 95% quality.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Image Cropper is browser-only. Your image never leaves your device.
