Privacy and Limitations

Unlike browser-local Photo2URL tools, Image to Link must store your image to create a link others can open. Uploads go through the existing /api/upload pipeline: EXIF is stripped, limits are enforced server-side, and free links expire after 180 days.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Image to Link tool free?

Yes. Guests get 15 free uploads per day at up to 3 MB each. Links stay active for 180 days on the free plan.

How is Image to Link different from Image to URL?

Image to URL emphasizes the raw CDN file URL. Image to Link highlights the shareable preview-page link, with direct URL, Markdown, and HTML as secondary copies.

What happens to my uploaded image?

The image is uploaded to Photo2URL's Cloudflare storage and served from the CDN at a public URL. EXIF metadata is stripped, and the image isn't listed or indexed.

Which formats are supported?

PNG, JPG, WEBP, and GIF — the same formats the main Photo2URL upload pipeline accepts.

How long does the link last?

Free links expire after 180 days. Plus and Enterprise plans store files permanently.

Can I send the link to anyone?

Yes. Anyone with the link can open the image, so don't upload private or sensitive content.
